Another Reason Not To Drive In Russia

Driving in Moscow’s traffic is bad enough, but when you have insurance fraud as a main source of income for some wankers, it’s just yet another reason why not to get behind the wheel in Russia.

Drivers frequently attach cameras to their dashboards because video evidence is harder to ignore when you have a corrupt judiciary and lawyers intent on you carrying the blame and liability.

In this clip you can clearly see three gorillas purposefully slamming on the brakes in the hope that the guy behind them will rear-end them. As in every country, a driver who crashes into the back of someone is ALWAYS at fault, no matter what, the rationale being that the driver behind was driving too fast or too close so as to avoid any accident in the first place.

Not being successful and after being berated by the hapless driver filming the incident, the three gorillas turn on him, threatening and intimidating him and his female passenger. He thankfully managed to escape (shown by a shorter video he posted) but sadly these goons were left behind to go and try their trick on some other unsuspecting road user.

It’s a sad state of affairs that modern Russia likes to pretend that it has laws and a working judiciary. But the simple truth is that lawyers and judges actively accept bribes. The going rate for getting away with murder in Russia these days is $250,000. I’m not sure if that pricing structure is based on a “per body” basis and if you get a discount on bulk murdering, but this is the cold hard truth.

And when you have a man at the top, like LiliPutin, who passes laws intent on crushing the rights and freedoms of a nation in order to consolidate his grip and power over the people, it is no wonder that the rest of the country actively imitates their great leader and follow by his stellar example, i.e. I’ll take the law into my own hands.

Not All Russian Drivers Are Nutters

When we think of Russian drivers, we usually tend to think of the nut jobs driving a break-neck speeds, cutting up fellow drivers, overtaking on the inside and all sorts of mayhem that follows from the inevitable crash that ensues.

However, this good Samaritan (driving an SUV no-less) has restored my faith in Russian drivers (albeit only a tiny little bit) when he took it upon himself to help a struggling old lady and her shopping trolley across the street. The cynic in me would say that he only did it so he could continue on his way quickly, but the idealist and eternal optimist in me would like to think that he did it because he was a nice guy.

BIFFO Goes Back To School

Seems our ex-Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, has decided to go back to school. And where was it that he chose to attend as a mature student?…..none other than the prestigious Stanford University in sunny California. Looking as fat and useless as ever, Cowen was seen clutching his school bag walking from the campus car park on his way to class. No doubt his Mammy bought him a fancy new lunch box, pencil case and covered all his books for him before he arrived on his first day. I wonder if he’ll piss off anyone enough that they’ll stop him in the playground and threaten to beat him up if he doesn’t hand over his lunch money.

I don’t quite understand what his end game is though. Here’s a man who has left politics, is quite rightly vilified and hated across the country because  the fat incompetent and incessantly drunk fuck-wit, who hadn’t a clue how to run a country, and practically single handedly bankrupted the entire country and he now suddenly feels the need to attend an “Executive Education Programme” which is designed for the movers and shakers global companies, government agencies, and non-profit organisations. What does he hope to get out of it? Who the hell would hire him, that’s what I’d like to know.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall though, when he’s sat next to someone in class and is being admired for his new Justin Bieber pencil case and asked “So what is it that you do?”…..Would he give them a honest answer and tell them that he was the residing head of state who sold his country down to river to the ECB, IMF and Ze Germans, or would he just meekly reply “I was in politics but am retired now?”

More importantly, when questioned, Cowen refused to elaborate who’s paying the $58,000 fee for this six week course. Given that he got a handsome retirement payout of €213,000 on top of an annual pension amounting to €158,000 I think he could easily afford it, but I would not be surprised if it became known that it was being funded by the Irish taxpayer in some way, shape or form.

My only ending remark is God help the poor bastard who thinks that hiring this fucking imbecile is a good thing and will help his/her business. You have been warned!!
